Our Top 5: Alternatives To An Anchorage RV Park

Our personal opinion about Anchorage’s RV parks is less than stellar.  We only stay in them when we have to be in the city for business.  If you’re willing to camp just outside of Anchorage you will find more affordable options (and sometimes more peaceful).

Our Top 5 alternatives to camping in an Anchorage RV park!

Alyeska Resort:  Girdwood is a beautiful little town located about 45 minutes South of Anchorage and our favorite alternative to staying in Anchorage.  In the summer months the resort allows you to park your RV in the large parking lot at the base of the mountain by the Day Lodge.
